Hi everyone! Many of you may know our club has been asked to perform a demo at the Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival this year. Time change: We are scheduled to perform for a half hour starting at 1:30 pm on Saturday afternoon, August 19th.The team is to meet at Government house park (river valley and Groat Rd) - there is no parking on site but we will get a VIP parking pass. The demo will be performed on a stage area. Please plan to all be there by 1 pm latest to allow time for set up and logistics. A volunteer coordinator should approach you for more instruction when on site. Volunteers will have special t-shirts. The demo will be coordinated by Bonecrusher and will include those of us who are not going to the World's tourney in Victoria. Here is a link to the Dragon Boat website: www.edmontondragonboatfestival.com/As I receive more information on the particular details I will post them to this thread. Much thanks to Bonecrusher and participating students! tom

Here are some more directions from Stephanie (my contact at the dragon boat festival) As for directions the park is located at River Valley Road And Groat Road. www.google.ca/maphp?hl=en&q=government+house+park+edmonton&ie=UTF8&ll=53.530513,-113.510914&spn=0.044385,0.1157&om=1 If coming from Sherwood Park: Take 98th Avenue and continue on to River Valley Road. Keep left on River Valley road, go under the bridge and just before head you up toward Groat Road. The park is located on the left. The parking pass allow you to park a vehicle onsite during your presentation. West: Head down Groat Road and take the exit for River Valley Road. Just before the bridge you'll see a sign for Gov't house park. On Saturday I will be onsite, I may be racing at the time they show up, otherwise my cell number is 722-4661 and I'll be sure to have it on that day if they need any directions or help. For additional parking they can try Emily Murphy Park just located across the river and then its a quick walk over the bridge. Thanks, Stephanie
